The management considers it a privilege to improve the life of the people who come in contact with the Company. Melkhet Power has adopted a holistic approach towards its project development, which includes a socio-economic development plan for the local community.

Activities regarding these shall be carried out on a regular basis  and following initiatives have been envisaged at the Company's sites:

  • Construction of roads and bridges
  • Construction of irrigation canals
  • Development of playgrounds for children
  • Construction of community kitchens
  • Free distribution of gas connections with stove to the women of the villages
  • Scholarship to meritorious students from economically backward families.Melkhet Power has provided scholarships/donations to students in the recent years. Special attention is given to the under-privileged girl students.

  • Sanitation and safe drinking water

Environment

Melkhet Power firmly believes in the harmony between man and his environment. The Group recognizes its joint responsibility with the Government and the citizens to protect and preserve the environment.

Melkhet Power is committed to making its operations environmentally acceptable, on a scientifically established basis, while fulfilling the customers’ requirements for excellent quality, performance and safety.

As such, Melkhet Power has evolved an Environmental Policy to prevent or minimise the risk of any adverse environmental impact arising from its business operations.

This policy covers all stages of our business including bidding, sub-contracting, designing, planning, execution, testing, delivering of service or product to the customers and handling of complaints. Hence, the policy is applicable to all companies, subsidiaries, associates and affiliate companies associated with Melkhet Power.
